- brimble 5y agoCorrect. Toward the end of the age of big ship's guns it'd have been designated a heavy cruiser, probably. But, other countries operate ships they designate destroyers at roughly the same displacement, these days. Role of the ship, and just preference of the country deciding what they'll call them, is a bigger factor than size.
