Babylon fell in a single hour when the Euphrates river was diverted and the Persians marched right in and slaughtered all the princes drunk from an all night wine kegger. The city was completely self contained, it had an infinite amount of water but the gate to that water did not go to the floor of the river. All the watchmen were asleep.
