All I had to do to "install" Julia on my Mac was download the .app and symlink its executable into /usr/local/bin (or wherever). Iirc using the vscode extension requires a handful of packages but they tell you the ones you need to install.

- ChrisRackauckas 5y agoEase of installation is definitely a fair criticism until juliaup is made the default way that people are told to install and update on the website. We should change this sooner rather than later.
