Friend of the author here. What is nice about this is that it allows you to get started with using rust for mobile development in no time at all. You need the usual tools (e.g. adb, llvm, clang), but once you got them you will have an android or ios app on the phone in a few minutes that has rust business logic. Before this, I would not have bothered doing mobile dev using rust. While not hard, getting all the tools to work with each other is no fun at all. Nothing I would do for fun. Tip: x doctor gives you a list of versions for all required tools. This will allow you to figure out if something is missing.
