Definately not hiring nitpickers or micromanagers. From what I understand, everything works in small teams. Knowing my own small startup, you can easily get swamped with bugs and issues and put off documentation and checking it till later, when it becomes an issue. It's bad practice, but with only so many hours in a day you have to prioritize. Nonetheless, someone from the marketing / developer relations should have noticed this. EDIT: Question was, how is this possible.
