Isn't that the whole point of free speech, to nonviolently speak out against and overthrow governments that you disagree with? Wasnt that the logic behind including it in the constitution in the first place?
- dundarious 4y agoNot at all. They specifically mention tyranny, not just people you “disagree with”. They also assumed political parties would never be created because they designed the legislative bodies to be sufficiently elitist, that it was presumed there would be no significant factions within wealthy holders of large capital.
