Honda Orders Takedown of 3D Printing Models from Maker Communities
- kklisura 5y agoWondering if they can just use `Hօnda` or `Hσnda` in the title.
- quantified 5y agoOr “automaker with global HQ at 2-1-1 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 107-8556, Japan“
- mackatap 5y agoWhat a dumb move. They only people printing those are fans of Honda. Is Honda going to make and sell their own toy models? Weird choice to hurt their own fans.
- simne 5y agoOne should understand important thing - auto business is multistep business. - You pay first time when buy machine from dealer, and than each time, when service, or when buy accessories or when make customizations. Sure, exist non-authorized accessories/customizations, but every adequate auto producer constantly monitor market, and demands patent fees from every 3rd party, who reach some sells volume. In this sad case, auto producer finded way to turn off large market, without need to ask every tiny customizer. Looks like, this community need something like decentralized web. People, you should understand important thing - auto producers spend huge money for research, including market watch - typical number ~2-3k$ per machine, but some producers spend more than 5k$ per machine, imagine these numbers.
