I couldn’t do it. I tried but it was too difficult for me to find a balance. I had to use my paternity leave to find a new job. if that didn’t work out I was going to quit after leave and continue looking full time. I made a lot of sacrifices and thankfully it was worth it in the end. But I realize so many folks can’t make such sacrifices.

  One possibility could be that their partner picked up some of the parent work so they could interview.
