I’ve been getting into the hyperpop genre because it’s an interesting (sometimes) avant-garde take on the homogeneity of modern culture. If you don’t like the aesthetic of late 90s-early 00s bubblegum europop you probably won’t enjoy it, but the self-awareness and latent darkness make it interesting in my eyes.
