17 L.A. gangs have sent out crews to follow and rob city's wealthiest, LAPD says
- aerostable_slug 5y agoHistory gives us a formula for dealing with man-eating predators: hire professionals, then let them hunt over bait. Works for (most) lions, tigers, & leopards, it'll probably work here. Time to get some decoys out there with some juicy bling and wait for a bite. Alternately, stake out prime targets. Of course, after the first few surprise! "Police don't move!" gunfights that result in dead armed perpetrators there will be the inevitable outcry and the program will be shut down, just like NYPD's famed Stakeout Squad. People don't like it when the number of fatalities meets or exceeds the number of convictions, but OTOH when the festivities start with guns already out and being pointed at good guys the likely outcome is body bags for the bad guys.
