How would unpressurized water go from a pipe under the street to your shower head?
To be clear, it is not the case. Water Towers are elevated specifically to provide pressure.
- jacquesm 5y agoIndeed, either water towers or pumps. And definitely no 'air' in the waterlines, possibly GP was thinking of sewers?
- saalweachter 5y ago... well, what about using sewer or storm water lines? I mean, besides making it a biohazard to repair.
- jacquesm 5y agoYes, that's much more feasible. Still quite complex though. But I can see that work a bit easier.
- Tostino 5y agoOh God, I can imagine all the line damage after debris cuts that line in a thousand places after a huge storm.
- jacquesm 5y agoThere's that... But it seems there are at least a couple of working installations of that type in the world and companies offering it commercially instead of in 'perpetual trial' mode. Repairing those must be a pretty shitty job.
