There is no meaningful left in the US. Conservatives are swatting at liberal identity politics warped through some kind of right wing media funhouse mirror.
- pydry 5y agoThere is a groundswell of left thinking in the US but whenever some aspect of it gains a little bit of traction it gets contorted beyond recognition by the liberal arm of the capitalist establishment. "Wokeness", as an example, started off by being about real matters of social justice like cop brutality in 80s Harlem and somehow ended up being about meaningless symbolism like changing the name of the master branch.
