I think polarization also brings on more low-effort troll posts (there is the gp and there's another one basically the same but targeted at the left that I'd argue qualify here). When everyone is so on edge, it's easier (requires less thought) to provoke outrage, so you see more of this, as well as the expected outraged response (thankfully absent here)
