The harsh performance degradation observed during prolonged compiles stems from the aggressive turbo limits Intel enforces, which draw far beyond what the CPU and VRM can sustain. For 15 W, 28 W, and 45 W class CPUs, the PL2 values are 55 W, 64 W and 115 W.
