As a jaded and cynical freelance technical writer and editor, my first question about draft.dev is "how much do they pay writers?" I've seen lots of these agencies pop up over the years, and they're often nothing more than content farms paying writers peanuts and taking most of the client's fee for themselves.
- Brystephor 5y agoI was browsing their website and found this: https://github.com/draftdev/jobs https://github.com/draftdev/jobs So this might provide some clarity to your question
- Veen 5y agoThat's not too bad, depending on the length and complexity of the articles. It's at the low-end of viable for a writer, but I've seen much worse.
- karlhughes 5y agoI run Draft.dev, so happy to answer questions. We pay $315 to $550 per article depending on the writer's experience and the topic. Most of our writers are engineers who do this on the side to supplement their income or learn new things. We don't do ghostwriting, so authors also get a byline, which is rare in our space.
- nickmancol 5y agoI have written some articles for draft.dev and have to say that it is a wonderful side-income and learning experience.
- karlhughes 5y agoThanks great to hear! We're actively working to measure and improve the writer experience, so I always welcome feedback.
