In my analogy I was meaning to say Putin is a parasite to the USA's host. I was attempting to argue that it's not so much that Putin is strong, it's that right now the west is weak. And sure one could argue against that and say that the west uniting against him is a sign of unity and strength. But I'm not so sure.
