I was younger than this when I realized gender was a thing, but one I didn't understand very well and had trouble with, and could have benefited from people explaining gender and gender expression to me. Peers of mine were younger than this when they were being abused and could have benefited from knowing about how consent should work, and who they can rely on for help.
