- dogleash 4y agoAlcohol's classification as a depressant refers to depression of neurotransmission, not the mental affliction known as depression.

- rpmisms 4y agoI'm tired of hearing this. Alcohol is a CNS depressant. It slows down your nervous system. It is not a depressant by your definition.
