Just to play devil's advocate for a moment, aren't "early adopters" rewarded in any investment that takes off, doesn't have to be a scam? A decade ago there used to be "bitcoin faucets" on the internet that would "drip" free fractional bitcoins to promote interest. Was pennies then but those drips are worth thousands of dollars now.
