Bottom line, joining the board limited Musk's acquisition of Twitter stock to <= 14.5%. What the press release says is ultimately irrelevant. I suspect Musk didn't like the restrictions. Whether he wants the company or not, Twitter's future doesn't look that bright. it was never representative of the country at large.
