I could be wrong, but my impression from posts like this one https://www.ralfj.de/blog/2020/12/14/provenance.html https://www.ralfj.de/blog/2020/12/14/provenance.html is that even C doesn't have a fully coherent model for what happens when we start doing weird things with pointers. Apparently there are LLVM bugs open that ultimately need to be addressed by the standards committee?
