When I read posts like yours, I wish unsafe had a different name like "human invariant" or whatever. Something that would make it harder to water down the meaning of the clearly defined unsafe keyword to suddenly mean something else. Using the unsafe keyword to mark a function as "potentially dangerous" is just wrong. Just prefix your functions with something like "dangerous_call", but don't misuse unsafe!
