I’m happy to see Paul Graham taking this position. One of the reasons I haven’t applied to YC is that I was getting the sense that he and YC might have the opposite opinion. It seems plenty of SF Bay Area based startup, founder, investor networking groups are uncomfortable for people with opinions that might be considered heresy.
