I don’t see this behavior on either my iPad or iPhone. They both are using about 12 MB of document storage space. I’ve been using Signal for years. My chats all expire in 1 hour, perhaps that feature delete’s correctly. Note: Twitter, on the other hand, is using over a gigabyte of local storage for some strange reason. Signal is open source, maybe somebody can go in and fix it if there is a problem. I suppose if someone’s extremely paranoid they could just simply delete the app and reinstall. Though Signal does do some strange replication of data I have never understood, because I’ve installed it on a laptop and saw it pull down a bunch of chat history that I thought I had deleted, but still couldn’t see in the app.
