I have never seen this level of information warfare in my life. Both sides are pushing transparent lies and disinformation, eagerly amplified by social media accounts and big newspapers alike. I will never trust any history book ever again.

  When people say they will never trust official/conventional sources again, usually that's a code phrase that signals them trusting egregiously untrustworthy sources. It's a generalization of course but unfortunately works like a clock.

Never? Any history book? Do you mean not trusting every single aspect of a book? Or do you mean trust without validating it? Otherwise I don't understand how could anyone ever learn about history that way.

Russian regime claimed that it was only doing exercises near borders with Ukraine and not going to attack Ukraine. Just few days before invasion they claimed that they are withdrawing troops. And then they attacked. So you are saying that lies by Putin's regime, which lied from day one are the same as some moral boost bullshit of the country that is attacked by much bigger country? Relativize and conquer.
