Not really. If the environmentalists ever take over, it's poor people who will be forced to sacrifice their comforts. The middle class will have to take a bit of a financial hit. And the wealthy will carry on like nothing changed.
- tonyedgecombe 5y agoNot really, poor people aren't causing this problem. In fact they stand to gain from many of the changes. It's the rich who have most to lose.

- tonyedgecombe 5y agoNot really, it's not the poor who are taking flights to Bali or buying new SUV's. Climate change is driven by consumption and the poor don't consume much. They also benefit when you start putting in changes like better public transport, cycle paths, etc.
