People have seemed to forgotten the phrase "starving artist". It's pretty simple either you're doing something passionate that's just for you and you want to create it and realize that it won't sell but it's just for you then get what you get don't be crying for more patrons. If you want to make money like the rest of us put on your big boy pants and do what you need to do to make the money. You don't have to sell your soul to make money all you have to do is give the people what they want. Once you're rich you can do all your passion projects you want and not worry about the money. YouTube hasn't become wrecked because of the algorithm and everything else YouTube is turned into trash because everyone is begging for patrons. That's what this entire clip is that you shared is you begging for patrons. Produce content that people want to pay for and you won't have to beg for patrons. Better yet since this seems to be some sort of passion project for you get a job and do this as a hobby. The world has seem to forgotten that hobbies are a thing.

People seem to have forgotten that the guy did have people viewing his content to make money: YouTube just stopped showing to people who would otherwise be interested. He's issue is he's blacklisted by the feudal YouTube lords, not that he didn't have enough views due to lack of interest for his content. What you're suggesting, furthermore, is to "get another job", and thus, generalized to other such creators, leave YouTube content to the sponsor-driven channels (and thus reduce the integrity and quality of content) and cookie-cutter clickbait producers. How about channels who have viewers get to keep them on their own merit, and are not penalized when/because YouTube feels like it?
