If the world's most ambitious climate goal was well within reach, I would suggest we would need more ambitious climate goals.

- FrenchAmerican 5y agoI'd love it. Far-right conservative minds should be all for it: let's get back to the climate of the good o'd times of slavery! Yiiihhaa! Trolling apart, let's not forget biodiversity. Climate warming is one of the main factor of the loss of biodiversity, but all the others factors are ours, directly: pollution, destruction of forests, intensive agriculture (pesticides, fertilizers), over-fishing... "climate dereliction and huge loss of biodiversity" ought to be mentioned together, always. "Global warming" doesn't sound terrifying. Like someone said (idk who): why do we give first names to hurricanes?!? Erika sounds like a pretty blond young Swede woman. Let's call them "the Sauron's Deadly Hurricane" or "the T-Rex Devastator Hurricane". Maybe people will then stop building houses by the beach in Florida.
