The problem with social media is not content but its distortion of reality
- giardini 5y agoThe problem with social media is that it enables bad behaviors formerly limited to crowds, mobs, parliaments, etc. Gustav Le Bon's book "The Crowd" explains the source of internet misbehaviors (and worse). The context may be, say, the French Revolution, but the behavior is the same. Thanks to improved communications people can exhibit some of these behaviors w/o taking a single step.
