I tried to use it in the more popular sense of "becoming over-accommodating to forces that are inherently against your interests," but there is an interesting psychological lens to view that argument from. My one point of contention is that I didn't advocate for more violence, or even policing. I didn't advocate for anything at all! The comment was meant to frame the underlying topic without proposing a solution.
