Other animals with other gut biomes eliminate different micro organisms which are less "tailored" to humans and evoke a less dramatic response. In general, animals with omnivorous diets similar to humans (notably dogs) will have faeces more like our own, but I think you would still find yourself instinctually reacting more strongly to stepping in human shit than dog
