The "This Person Does Not Exist" was pretty striking, but with all these copycats (a bench now? really?), it's getting a little silly.
- blamazon 5y agoAs I interpret it, the point is to demonstrate how anyone with a dataset large enough can now do this. Even memorial benches, because that's what the author had.
- edent 5y agoYup, that's pretty much it. I had a huge dataset - so wanted to see what interesting uses I could put it to.
- Beltiras 5y agoThis particular trend has a long way yet to metastasize. It violates rule 34 at least. The list of "This X does not exist" is counted in the teens and we will see lots more of it.
- el_nahual 5y agoWe just need a "This (This thing does not exist) Does Not Exist", sort of a meta does not exist, a sort of Y Combinator (natch) of "this thing does not exist".
