- carapace 5y agoYeah! It's not exactly "algorithms based on biological ideas", more like formal systems that mimic certain morphological aspects of plant life, but well worth a look: "The Algorithmic Beauty of Plants" http://algorithmicbotany.org/papers/#abop http://algorithmicbotany.org/papers/#abop (It's mentioned in the Wikipedia article, but I feel it's worth "surfacing" here on it's own.)
