I’m sorry, but all Baudelaire translations sound the same to me. It sounds like the translators are just playing games, and tweaking the words a bit here and there. “mon semblable” as “mirror-man”? I guess. Makes me think of “Machine-Man” from Metropolis. But I don’t think any of these changes are “inspired.”
