Video Diffusion Models
- godelski 5y agoArxiv link because for some reason it isn't on the page https://arxiv.org/abs/2204.03458v1 https://arxiv.org/abs/2204.03458v1
- machinekob 5y agoWhat about inference latency? Im only aware of audio diffusions model but even there latency was pretty big (2/3 years ago)
- mcphage 5y ago"Closeup of a craftsman sawing a steel pipe" is great because the person appears to be using a handsaw to cut the pipe—and yet it's giving off tons of sparks. All of the individual pieces make sense, but they don't fit together.
- ganzuul 5y agoI'm making sure to unsub from any channel that uses deepfakes, since I don't want the algorithm to promote that in my life. This I can accept as part of my fading grasp of reality if it is clearly stylized.
- cinntaile 5y agoWhy? Don't they use it because it saves on production costs? I don't really see why you would be against that.
- ganzuul 5y agoDon't they use deepfakes because it saves on production costs? I'm sorry do I understand your question correctly? And you are asking this in all seriousness?
- cinntaile 5y agoYour claim was that you unsub from clearly legit (why else would you be subbed?) channels because they utilize deepfake technology. As long as the use is not nefarious, I'm not sure I see the issue?
- ganzuul 5y agoWhy else subscribe? - To learn what kind of content they produce and when. Why is the unsubs option there? - People are free to go their own way and I am free to react to do the same. What other use for deepfakes is there other than advancing nefarious purposes, such as for example denigrating and misrepresenting the victim who is clearly not cooperating (why else would they choose not to appear on camera)?
