How is
apt update
apt upgrade
to make ones whole system is up-to-date fragile or cumbersome?
Upgrading to a whole new major version means basically the same, just change repository sources and use apt full-upgrade, one can even continue to work while that's happening - try that on windows..

Assuming that begging and pleading actually happened for a legitimate reason (sometimes some maintainers can indeed be a bit of an arse, iow., humans are humans); how does that compare to Windows/Microsoft where you cannot even get close to anybody of the team to voice your needs or complaints, at least if you're not friend with one by accident (and seemingly even working there may not even give you the chance)?
IMO that complaint really reads like "it's not 100% perfect, so it's way worse than on the other side, where I cannot even do the same, nor have _any_ power over my system, at all". I'm still just baffled about the different standards that Windows and Linux is held up against.
