Me using Linux after 25 years of Windows:
Wow, Linux on the Desktop is in great shape!
After Microsoft went to far with their Edge bullshit and "always online and always logged in" and hidden ads and spyware I had enough. So, I've started to play around with some Linux distros in a VM. It was OK. Ubuntu LTS was great. Fedora, too. Linux Mint also.
Some weeks later I installed Linux Mint on my workstation. I had to resolve one smaller issue with the NVIDIA driver, but using Linux was one awesome experience. Super fast, super easy. Linux Mint is really nice and easy for people coming from Windows.
I've recently installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS beta and it is simply fantastic. (Note: Wayland has fractional scaling issues, so I recommend XOrg if you need fractional scaling.)
