I use Linux (RHEL7) at work and have grown to love it. I feel ultra-productive in Linux and completely unproductive in Windows.
That said, some of the Windows criticisms seem silly compared to the situation in Linux, and Linux isn't without its warts.
> Did it Just… Restart Itself and Lose All My Terminals‽
My DE at work crashes and closes all my stuff somewhat regularly (perhaps once every 1.5mo or so)--much more often than Windows does. To be fair, I do more in Linux, so perhaps that's to be expected.
Beyond the occasional DE crash, there are also several other baffling glitches that I've simply learned to live with, most visibly: randomly the graphical theme will switch from dark to light. It switches back to dark simply by opening and closing the appearance settings.
Linux still feels extremely unpolished to me, but I'm vastly more productive in it.
