Why not just have occupancy requirements / vacancy tax?
- hemreldop 5y agoThat’s a ridiculous amount of regulation to enforce and frankly is very restrictive. Why shouldn’t people have two homes.
- sublimefire 5y agoBecause there is not enough for everyone and the property should not be treated as an investment.

- Tiktaalik 5y agoBC/Vancouver did this. Wasn't a silver bullet that made housing affordable overnight, but it add thousands of units to the market and there's evidence that it influenced the sort of housing that developers built more toward apartments for renters.
