Writing exercises is hard. This might sound like a cop out, but I'm my latest book, Effective Pandas, most of the exercises are phrased like this: Using a dataset of your choice [apply some principle from the chapter]. For example it might say find the missing values, plot a bar chart, etc. I'm a firm believer that you learn more when you act, and you act better when you use a dataset that interests you. The funny part is that I keep getting people all me for the solutions to the exercises...
