Don't the French generally/historically despise the English and their language? That was my first assumption.
- Bayart 5y agoWe've left the 19th c. a while back.
- baud147258 5y agowe have to live with our time, so we use English as needed, like at work, where nearly all communications are in English or when using sources in English. Though some of us still can't stand some of the Anglosphere, that hasn't changed. And the average level in English isn't as good as in other Europeans countries.
