Why so many pieces in the back end puzzle?
- mc4ndr3 5y agoOne trend among backend services is an explosion of requirements for logging, telemetry, and of course the woefully neglected humble health check. There's always someone with power demanding their personal style of productionization, and so these things pile up in redundant fashion. "Better safe than sorry," they merrily chant, spending their money thinly on too many unfocused goals. Microservice as monolith.
