Do you have company and battalion mixed up here? Why wouldn't a battalion, which consists of companies, be capable of independent operation if the individual companies are?
- Sharlin 5y agoMy wording was clumsy, what I meant is that a company, rather than a battalion, is the smallest somewhat independent unit, in some way more "basic" than the latter.
