Ask HN: What are good alternatives to Google Docs for collaborative writing?
I’m trying to move away from Google services this year, but I still have to find a good alternative to Google Docs.
What I’m looking for is an online writing application, that supports sharing in-progress work and allowing reviewers to comment inline. What do you use, if you’re not using Google Docs?
- asdfqwertzxcv 5y agoNextcloud has been filling this area nicely for my team. It's not perfect, but very good and usable.
- dybber 5y agoThanks, I will try that. Can documents be shared such that people without an account can edit/comment?
- Pinegulf 5y agoMight be a bit tall order, but how about Git?
- dybber 5y agoThanks, but my reviewers might not all be very technical inclined (e.g. a school teacher), so something with a bit more easy to use interface.
