What Happens If You Photocopy Money?
- paulpauper 5y agoThis has been common knowledge forever.
- eesmith 5y agoWhere do people learn this common knowledge? https://xkcd.com/1053/ https://xkcd.com/1053/ "The Graphing Calculator Story" is common knowledge. That doesn't keep people from posting it to HN a couple of times of year for the past 15 years. https://news.ycombinator.com/from?site=pacifict.com https://news.ycombinator.com/from?site=pacifict.com . FWIW, most people seem to link to the Eurion Wikipedia entry, https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&query=eurion&sort=byDate&type=story https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&qu... . The linked-to page has details, like how Kuhn was in grad school at the time, which aren't in the Wikipedia entry, making this a step above those frequent repostings. I liked the second video on the right, which shows how some money can be copied, including at least one with the EURIon pattern.
