- Maursault 5y agoDon't forget the tamale. The origin of the tamale dates back 7k - 11k years. They were eaten by the Aztec and Maya civilizations and previously as well by the Olmec and Toltec. And tamales were sacred, food of the gods. I've always loved tamales. They're a treat and good for you, too.
