Cant be solved under capitalism, climate health just doesn't play a role in maximizing profits.
- changoplatanero 5y agocan't be solved without capitalism either, there is no other way except capitalism to generate the excess wealth required to address this major crisis
- Mizza 5y ago"My God is the correct one."
- EricE 5y agolol - pot shots are easy. What are you going to replace capitalism with? Don't just snipe. Snipe and then provide a solution to that which you just sniped.
- Mizza 5y agoVulcan anarchism. My point was only that it's a form of religious faith to think that our current form of international corporatism is the only way to generate wealth in the future. I don't even think it's doing a particularly good job of that now.
- EricE 5y agoWho said anything about it being the only way? It is still the best demonstrated way to provide the most opportunity the most amount of people that has ever existed throughout humanity and you still don't have a viable alternative other than a sarcastic reply.
- Mizza 5y ago> there is no other way except capitalism >> Who said anything about it being the only way? I'm not being sarcastic, by the way, and I don't agree with your premise.
- FredPret 5y agoUhhh, yes it does! What's the point of profits if your private island/beach resort is under water? Where will profits come from if civilization ends? Any intelligent capitalist sees the climate and other systemic issues as strategic risks/opportunities. Don't look at (late coal baron) Robert Murray and think that is all capitalism is just because he is part of it.
