The Pentagon includes the most powerful intelligence agencies in the world. They also are providing military intelligence to Ukraine that, according to many sources, has proven to be very valuable in countering the Russians. But they have no intelligence that can corroborate the Ukrainian version in this case. I find that highly relevant. I don't understand what distance has to do with it, given that it's pretty obvious the Pentagon has intelligence officers on the ground in Ukraine. A video is hardly conclusive evidence, especially in a conflict where both parts have a strong interest in pushing out their own narrative.
