I'll echo Lammy here - as long as you know the tides and don't get too close to any wildlife, it's a fairly easy hike. Budget more time than you think you'll need, I was surprised by how slow it was walking down the sand. Windy point is aptly named, so be careful of things flying away. It's a multi-day backpacking trip, but you can hike further past the lighthouse and down the Lost Coast if you get a permit. They're sold out months in advance, though.
