It will put everything that has happened in Ukraine into completely different framework. Please also keep in mind that this is not something new. This paper just reflects what Russian general opinion has been prepared for years.

As long as Putin is in charge there really is only one narrative, which is one that supports this sentiment. And if it wasn't crystal clear before, then it should be now: Ukraine is fighting to keep their country on the map, this is an existential fight against the invasion.
